Earlier this week, I received an E mail outlining some 30 plus “truths.” One of these really hit home with me as it very succinctly stated one of my core beliefs which is — that if you make a mistake and learn from it, it is not a mistake, but rather a learning experience. If you repeat the same mistake a second time, shame on you. There never should be a third time!
The E mail summed it up beautifully from a different direction as it clearly stated the basis of several chapters of my book — particularly those relating to negotiating. It stated that “Bad decisions make good stories” and I learned a lot about negotiating by making mistakes, so I have lots of stories to tell.
